MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) won a Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached the top of the charts at number 8 on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca is one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album in the year following. In 2021 he produced an duet with TINI's popular single Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a music-oriented environment because both his mother and older brother are professional musicians. In his interviews, he said music participation as mandatory. He learned how to play guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was when he was a child. Despite initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his career.
